SYMPTOMS
When attempting a connection using the SFTP protocol, the following error is encountered:
    STATUS:>   Getting listing ""...
    STATUS:>   Initializing SFTP21 module...
    STATUS:>   Connecting to SFTP server... 192.168.20.135:22 (ip = 192.168.20.135)...
    ERROR:>    The file being transferred in ASCII mode appears to be a Binary file. Proceed anyway?
    ERROR:>    Can't connect to 192.168.20.135:22. SFTP21 error = #0.
    STATUS:>   SFTP21 connection closed.

CAUSE
This error is the result of a timeout of an SFTP operation.  The first line of error text is irrelevant and should be disregarded.  There are two known possible causes for this error:

   1. This problem may be caused by a misconfigured firewall.

   2. This is a known problem when using CuteFTP versions 8.0.0 through 8.0.7 and attempting an SFTP connection to a server computer running Titan FTP Server.  This issue was fixed in CuteFTP 8.1.

RESOLUTION
   1. Check the firewall settings and ensure that port 22 is open and enabled for SFTP transfers.

   2. If you are connecting with a server computer running Titan FTP Server, update to CuteFTP 8.1 or greater.

最近經常連不上某服務器的sftp服務器,cuteftp報錯如上
我已經快瘋了,查了好多資料都不知道原因
它要一直不能上還好,但是它是 20%的時候能上  80%的時候上不去.困惑啊
還請高人指點  謝謝了

  某個帳號突然無法使用 sftp 連線登入,(可用ssh2登入)
  其它帳號都正常

  使用 FileZilla 看到的錯誤訊息是
    回應：  Fatal: Out of memory!

  使用 CuteFTP 7.1 看到的錯誤訊息是
    ERROR:> The file being transferred in ASCII mode appears to be a Binary
  file. Proceed anyway?
    ERROR:> Can't connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:22. SFTP21 error = #0.

  也有人問一樣的問題,可是沒看到解決方法

  請教各位,這有可能是什麼問題呢?

Hi! I'm using CuteFtp Pro 7.0 to connect to a Linux server (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3) via SFTP. This was working fine, but even without any configuration change, from a few month ago I receive this message:

I searched this forum and tried to change options (pasv / no pasv, more seconds in "connection timeout", etc.), but nothing works. Any idea? At least where to look.

Whenever I try to connect to this site I get the following error:

ERROR:> Can't connect to 203.144.217.30:22. SFTP21 error = #0.
STATUS:> SFTP21 connection closed.

Can any one assist on this error?
