Just to prove it, why not start with a look at that "coni" word? It looks absolutely monstrous, but a few minutes of flipping these pages should tell you that the roots say: "lung-beyond-small-looking-silicon-volcanic-dust-condition."


Without looking it up in a regular dictionary, you'll probably decide as I have that this horrendous collection of letters refers to "a lung condition caused by ultramicroscopic volcanic silicon dust" and is probably a miners' disease.
