高職教科書中的段落
Following is a paragraph in a textbook:
Realizing Chang's great potential, Wu decided to help him. He was also impressed by Chang's desire to run, even though Chang could not see. However, it was a difficult decision. Wu had to spend most of his time training Chang. He also needed to observe Chang's physical condition. So, he did something unbelievable. He told (1)Taipei Zoo to make him an ordinary guard again instead of the captain of the guards. By doing this, he would lose a salary of NT$6,000 every month. (2) His son was just born, and he actually needed more money. Yet, he sacrificed it all for Chang so that he would have enough time to train Chang. However, Wu never told Chang the fact.

My comments:
(1) If we tell someone to do something, we order or advise them to do it.
     told ---> asked
The zoo could have refused his proposal, in which case Wu would have had  to choose between keeping his present job or quitting the zoo altogether and finding a suitable job somewhere else.
(2) That sound he would lose all his monthly salary of NT$6,000
      Rewrite:
      He would lose NT$6,000 in salary every month.
     or  He would suffer a reduction in salary of NT6,000 every month.
     or His salary would be reduced by NT$6,000 every month.

If you spot anything else, please join in the discussion.
